Turning 50 in Palm Springs!

Heading to Palm Springs to celebrate Sister Ex's 50th birthday and our dear friend Lisa's 50th. Love stepping off the plane in the heat!

We are off for a long weekend of lounging at a fabulous home (photos to follow), shopping and dining. Lucky us!

PALM SPRINGS!

Sister Ex and I are absolutely exhausted. We just finished a 7000 sq foot home. The American Express is on fire so I am removing it from my sister's hands so that it can cool down for a few days. We have acquired some of the most fabulous and artfully designed furniture which is the good part of all of the work.

We are now off to Palm Springs, leaving our company in the trusty hands of our amazing staff.

Palm Springs Modernism Week 2014

Signing off for a few days as I head to Palm Springs for a ton of inspiration. This Middle Sister has tickets to the Vintage Trailer Show, Prefab Show, Mid Century Designer Show House, Double decker bus tour of Mid century homes and a Jump and Jive dinner party. A huge week of fun!

Stumbling Across Cool

How lucky to be staying at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs and witness the process of a pop up store with super cool artist Steve Harrington. More on it here. To give you an idea of the clientelle here at this hip hotel-they give you a bucket of beers upon check in. (well at least they did me...)

Focus

We have a ton of work this week so I am supposed to be focusing on that but  instead I have only this on my mind.... Heading to Santa Barbara and Palm Springs in a few days!

Viceroy Palm Springs

Another not-to-be missed hotel is the Viceroy. It is super boutiquey in that it is intimate, small and quiet. My oldest loved it the best but said they would really have to make sure they were very quiet in the pool. Designed by our super star favorite designer Kelly Wearstler it is visually magical.

ACE Hotel

Checked out  several Palm Spring Hotels for my April stay. Booked a few nights here at the ever-so-hip and cool Ace Hotel.  It has a grungy vibe that I like and I get a bucket of beers upon check in-you kind of get its clientelle with a set up like that.
